On the Wednesday evening during our link visit Stella and Jatinder were invited to a meeting of The Rotary Club of Banjul at the Kairaba Hotel at Kololi. The meeting was very interesting as on this occasion there were Rotarians from Scotland, Wiltshire, The Netherlands and Sierra Leone. Stella gave an account of the work of the link and asked if the club would consider match funding with the Swansea Rotary Club to support a Gambian National on a training course in SZRECC such as the Diploma in Optometry or the Cataract Surgeons course. She also presented a banner on behalf of Swansea Rotary Club.
